Tagum City is known as the "Palm tree City in the Philippines" and holds the record of having the Tallest Christmas Tree in the Philippines. it is also known for its Musikahan Festival - the celebration of Filipino excellence in Music composition, performance and production . In fact, it holds the title "the Music Capital in the South". The Musikahan Festival have reached not only national but also international level. In fact, this year 2011, Tagum City hosted its 3rd International Rondalla Festival held at Tagum New City Hall, with participants for both festivals coming from Asian, European and American continents.
